A Day in the Life takes you into the everyday of local creatives and business owners as they show you the best of their city.

Style maven and serial entrepreneur Erin Kleinberg - Founder + CEO of SIDIA and Founder of Metier Creative - lives with her gorgeous family in Cedarvale, Toronto. She let us in on what she’s missing most from pre-COVID:“Travel! Both work and exploratory! Sometimes I will walk down Bloor street just to smell hot garbage, freshly laid pavement, cigarettes and hear sirens and horns so I can remind myself of my bi-monthly jaunts to NYC for work…Toronto is my place, don’t get me wrong, and I feel incredibly lucky to be here, especially right now. But those trips re-invigorated and re- inspired my soul to continue on the daily grind of my life as a Mom / Boss combo.” Now that she’s in Toronto for the foreseeable future, we caught up with Erin on her new brand, SIDIA, and her everyday locales and favourite spots in Toronto.

Sidia Backstory.

SIDIA is a culmination of my 15 years experience in this industry; I’ve worked in editorial, retail, publishing, brand building, and the time felt right to build our iteration of the lifestyle brand of the future. SIDIA is a creative lifestyle brand celebrating the way stories, words, and wisdom travel through generations. We believe that stories can be told in many ways - including through the pieces we grow to love. The first chapter in our story is our beloved Caftan (aka the SIDIA), a beautifully versatile piece that allows you to show up as your most effortless self everyday. Sidia is the name of my late grandmother, an immigrant and Holocaust survivor who passed in March at 79 from a battle with stomach cancer. We are on a mission to live her legacy and story as the family Matriarch for generations to come, acting as a unifier for women all over.

Fresh cut flowers and bouquets

“This is one of my favourite weekly activities when I find the time. Visiting the flower shops on Davenport to curate my own bouquets and divvy them out to pals or keep fresh flowers at home. Nothing makes me happier.”

If she can get away from the kiddos in the evening, you’ll find Erin in Dundas West, enjoying a drink on the patio at Cocktail Bar

Why Erin loves it?

“My fave bar has always been Cocktail Bar. Likely for the nostalgia factor, as I frequented the spot a LOT while dating my now husband, Mickey, but the drinks are so special yet simple. I love the patio - they’ve bottled up the feeling of summer perfectly!”
