A Day in the Life takes you into the everyday of local creatives and business owners as they show you the best of their city.

Graeme Montgomery is the the Brand Manager at Butterfield & Robinson Luxury Travel, living in Trinity Bellwoods, Toronto. We caught up with Graeme on his background in luxury travel marketing and his ideal day in Toronto.

How did you get started in luxury travel marketing?

“I have a background in creative marketing and editorial, and have been with B&R for almost 4 years. Through the pandemic, I was able to touch every aspect of the brand, and I'm excited to see that translate now that the world is back to travelling. It's a dream to apply my creativity to a legacy brand like this and immerse myself in travel every day.”

10:00 AM

A leisurely walk to Hamers Coffee for a slow morning coffee.

Coffee Shop

“Adjacent to Bellwoods park, Hamers is a corner hangout with good vibes always. This is my Saturday morning spot after a too-much-fun Friday night as they offer one of my favourite breakfast sandwiches in the city (ETC, add chorizo). Incredible coffee, duh! But if you're not a coffee drinker come for the Kuura Cola – I'll let them describe what that is to you, but trust me, it's delicious.

2:00 PM

Next step is a pop-in at Pic Vintage, a chic vintage shop on Dundas West.

Why Graeme loves it?

Have you ever experienced a vintage store where every time you go in, there's that one thing that magically fits you perfectly? This is that store for me. Curated to perfection, Pic Vintage is my go-to on Dundas West. Stopping in to see what's new feels like going to hang out with your friends – I love everyone there. A great range from interesting thrifted pieces to vintage designer.

And lastly, a delicious Dinner at French Diner, Le Swan.

“There's something about Le Swan that makes it feel appropriate for any occasion: perfect for a dinner with friends, romantic enough for a date, casual enough to visit on a Tuesday... Consistently amazing food (French + Diner fusion, yes please!) and an innovative cocktail list that won't make you go broke. I love sharing Le Swan with anyone who visits Toronto.”
