11:00 AM
Elana picks up goods from Sahadi’s, a 121-year old, third-generation, family-owned Middle Eastern grocer.
“The original location on Atlantic Avenue has more than 200 bins of ancient grains, spices, roasted nuts, dried fruits, the most incredible olives, and rare cheeses, as well as hummus and kibbeh…the list goes on!”
“Sahadi’s recently opened a second location in Industry City with a restaurant featuring Lebanese wines on tap, daily meze specials, grab and go options, and one of NYC's only saj griddles. There are even plans to begin a cocktail program that uses flavors and spices from the Lebanon region which I am dying to try!”
1:00 PM
Midday she heads to Black and female-owned, BLK MKT Vintage to browse their incredible collection of heirlooms, books and collectibles.
7:00 PM
In the evening you’ll find Elana at her favourite restaurant, The Four Horsemen, for a glass of natural wine and their homemade bread and cultured butter.
